Finally done. Forgot to mention glue and a few sewing knick-knacks in the materials list. :F
Procedure I followed: 1. Stained front outer endpaper with watercolor. Scattered glass beads on outer corners while drying for texture. Removed glass beads after dry. 2. Stained front inner endpaper with watercolor. Scattered glass beads over page for texture; removed after dry. 3. Glued frontpiece onto outer endpaper. (Frontpiece was done beforehand.) 4. Stained back endpapers in similar fashion to front endpapers. 5. Brushed watercolor over page edges. Repeated until desired color was achieved. 6. Knotted embroidery floss and sewed into top of book binding. Braided, added beads, etc. for desired effect. 7. Painted book cover entirely white. Let dry. 8. Removed most of white paint with alcohol ( I changed my mind as to how I was going to approach it ; ) 9. Mixed acrylic paint with water and brushed over front cover; let dry. 10. Repeat with back cover. 11. And with spine. 12. Sanded edges of covers and spine for worn appearance. 13. Sanded lightly over cover and spine to simulate light scratches and small tears. 14. Wrote "Keys" on the spine in Luminari with silver marker. Outlined in black for engraved effect. 15. Glued sequins and traced around with silver marker. 16. Planned design of the "lunar key" in sketchbook. 17. Painted base of key in white acrylic on cover. 18. Went over key with Prismacolor markers.
Yay. Sorry the last photo is a bit crappy. The middle part of the key looks more like scales in real life.
As stated, Keys and all other Luminari belong to the Jeff-man,
I feel distinctly unworthy of possessing such a piece of fine art. The detail, the effort that went into this...the cute and ornate effects, the age-wearing, the key design...
Everything about this is beautiful beyond belief. I feel like I'm going to be walking away with some priceless artifact when you give me this in real life.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
